My Breitling Areospace has started with the digi display flashing been in to my local AD and am aware it needs a new battery. Breitling charge £120 for this with a 12 week wait time quoted. Plus as the watch is a fairly well used watch I was informed that if Breitling say other work needs doing and I don't want it done there is a £21 estimate . I'm currently in the situation of my aerospace requiring a new battery (been dead for almost a month now) and cant decide if I want to do a battery change myself or just drop it into the Bluewater boutique for the £140 service. I did laugh when I went around the corner into Ernest Jones who quoted almost £500 for the same service! Breitling Aerospace - anybody that changes their battery etc. by themselves? What tool do you use to open the watch? Is the watch difficult to close when it's opened? The watch has the usual slot, though hidden behind the lugs, the case back is firmly fixed. My battery isn't low but I'll like to get access to the watch speed calibration.
