If the Explorer Sport is anything like the Taurus SHO, there is no digital enhanced fake engine noise. The SHO uses a noise generator on the air intake tract (thing sticking out the air tube right by the throttle body). 1. Receive Engine data from CANBUS (RPMs, throttle position, speed, etc.) 2. Generate fake vroom vroom noises and send those noises to the sound system amplifier (prob via line-level audio signals) to be blended into the sound system's speakers.
