It's not natural wear and tear, it's a known manufacturing issue. Goyard know and don't care (they have other issues too, apart from cracking straps, your white will likely discolour pretty fast). They will give you the runaround for months and charge you a fortune for a repair.

The bag has dimension 13.25in length of the base of the bag, 5.5in depth of the base of the bag, and 10.5in height of the bag without the handle. The handle drop is 7in . As I searched online, some sources say 11″ W x 19″ H x 6″ D but those don’t match up to what I see when I measure my own bag. Those who have the regular St. Louis bag might know that there’s largely two points of potential weakness on the bag – the corners, which can get scuffed and even wear away to holes over time, and the handles, which can break if too much weight is added.
Same thing happened to the handles - sort of ‘melting’. The Singapore boutique had it replaced foc even though it’s 2+ years after purchase in Paris.
